I have quicktime installed and somehow IE knows to use quicktime to read the tif files. Go to www.apple.com and download the free version of quicktime.

If you are snatching these files from the Army Corps of Engineers server, you need to beware that they use the extension tiff not tif, which can be a problem with the windows file assocations.

Adobe acrobat won't help you here. Send me an email directly if you can't get the file loaded.
