Good picture and intel. Looks like the new landlords (USAF) are bringing the security peremiter up to AF code. Since money is tight in the military (someone's got to go hungry if Clinton/Gore's camp has to crow about a budget surplus, might as well be the soldiers, airmen, and sailors) if this upgrade is in progress it can only mean that the base has GREAT importance. It could also mean that the AF may be ready to mainstream the base as one of their auxiliary fields for Nellis. Quite possibly requests for base tours by authorized media could be requested and considered by the Dept. of Defense. Worth a shot. It'd be nice to be the first cameraman to get access to the base.
