Speaking of orderwire, the honorable William Jefferson Clinton was just in town and a friend managed to pick up the orderwire voice channel using USB. [Most AOR scanners can do this, as well as Yupis.] Hanging out at the Starbucks this afternoon, of course the conversation meandered into TACAMOs. [Like what else do people drinking coffee talk about.] The claim was some of the coded SKY KING messages heard on GHFS are probably meant for the Travis Tacamos. For as many Tacamos as we have in the area, I never read anyone on milcom talk about them checking in with ATC, or their callsigns. You would think somebody would post a Tacamo sighting heading out to the ocean. My guess is they use a flight plan that avoids populated areas.
