If the man had gone in from Highway 93 he would of had to pass through several ranges that are used everyday by the USAF for bombing and Gunnery practice.
I dont think he would of got very far without being seen, even so at night with FLIR being used everywhere.

Its also a very tough and long hike that way.

Security at the NTS is not that tight, anyone with common knowledge of the area could hike through the NTS without being spotted. However that type of person does not have common sense or the brains.

If you drive down H95 you can see many places that you can get over into the NTS, theres only a small wire fence and in some places just Orange markers again. There are no cameras, no helos patrolling or anything.
You may see the odd Helo going to and from the main areas but thats it.
Anyway, what a silly idea, its just as stupid walking into the NTS as it is going into Groom Lake.
