The SAS have been called into areas with more security many times before, as have many other Special Forces around the world. The recent British attack in Sierra Leone was one such example. Alot of the operations to get into the secured areas people never know about. However i think discussing about a sci-fi infiltration of Groom Lake should now be ceased, but thats only my views as it is all a bit too far fetched Rich
Some people think that the Groom Security is particularly tough, but its just security.
Many many facilities / bases in the world offer much more in the way of proper security, and thats where the SForces end up. In places like Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan etc have extremely secure compounds/training camps.
Security was extremely high in the base with over 300 combat ready rebels in watch posts and in trenches/holes. The British paratroopers came under fire for over 2hrs while negotiating a wide River (500yards wide!) and the SAS infiltrated the camp to rescue the hostages.
Sforces such as the SEALs and SBS (Royal Navies equilivent of the SEALs and opposite of the British Armies SAS) go on operational missions that no one knows about. The SBS are the most secret and highly classified fighting unit in the world...
