Hi Dai,

British Aerospace Marconi Flight Systems reside at Mojave Airport, just noirth west of Edwards AFB.
They were doing the refits for the KC-135R to KC-135S standard (fitting a glass cockpit etc)
They are also at the facility testing the British new anti-tank missile, the Brimstone, based on the Agm-114 Hellfire but for Fast Jet use aswell as Helo. Its seeker head is being tested on an old F-4 Phantom.
They also work alot with China Lake, where the British send over Harriers, Jaguars and tornados each year for a few months for trials work, such as the recent Paveway III live test firing on hardened bunker targets.

They were actually going to buy the Site 9 location at Plant 42 but then SR Technologies got it.

British Aerospace Systems have personnel at both Lockheed and Northrop on various programs, not all Black of course, in fact, most are just normal everyday contracts like missile development, rocket development, avionics, and so on. BAE Systems Marconi (Formerly the British GEC Marconi) are specialist in advanced avionics and missiles and so it was only natural to co-operate on some programs (such as the KC135 refit)

The reason i stated that BAe Systems had workers at Northrop Grumman is because Northrops AMC concept appears on many advertisments and also a video presentation of the Royal Air Force's Future aircraft. It is actually coloured in Desert Camouflage on the video and was going with the Su-27 Flanker (of which the UK were thinking of purchasing as an interim fighter for the Typhoon)

BAe Systems i think are the main partner for Lockheed Martin in the JSF program, so, having workers at Lockheed is essential.
British Aerospace also have Lockheed workers here in the UK, and the Vertical Take Off and Landing development aircraft for the JSF program is based at RAF Boscombe Down, the UK's AFFTC. It is a Harrier slightly modified for work on the JSF program.

So there are people from each company all over the place.
Northrop Grumman Have their European Head Quarters here in the UK, based at Southampton and so they too will have people working over here on joint programs with BAe Systems etc.

Rich
