The thing that struck me most from the 1m sat pics is how big the place has become, the amount of upgrading, the huge amount of dorm (we can't call them barracks anymore) space and more important, the large number of vehicles. This brings a question to mind - how are all of these vehicles (210 in just 1 lot) accessing the base? Not by GLR or Back Gate. They either use the NTS road or there is an alternate way. The number of employees transported in and out via bus or JANET has to be minimal compared to the number of people apparently working there. In my opinion, I think the gov. is "happy" with all the attention the GLR and Back Gate area get from the public as it takes the focus away from other areas. It would be interesting to know the traffic flow into and thru NTS.
