Can you imagine the cost of putting a fibre optic system onto an aircraft?
The US has enough problems with the spirit costing several BILLION each, im sure they wouldnt use such a system at this stage.

Watch out though, soon we will have reports of UFO watchers saying they heard an aircraft and felt it go overhead but they couldnt see it.
