telescope photos

Taking photos of er eh buildings and er eh other things at great distances may be of interest to some on this list. [Nudge nudge wink wink say no more say no more.] I've been fiddling with a Meade ETX90 telescope and a canon EOS camera. This web page discusses how to take photos with such a set up.

This photo is of the Trans America Pyramid shot through the north tower of the Golden Gate Bridge.

The tower is 0.7 miles away, and the building is 5.6 miles away. I took the shot at 9PM, i.e. after sunset, but the tower is lit and perhaps the build is as well. I used Fuji Provia pushed to ASA400 with a 1 minute exposure time.

If I get any interesting photos in the vicinity of Area51, you can bet I'll post them here.
