The Powerline ends like joerg says, , near enough in the middle of the northern part of Area19.
It has a circular road around the powerline where it goes into the ground with various unpaved dirt-tracks leading off.

According to NTS officials, when asked about going to the site on the tour, some officials say the roads are not maintained anymore and thus impassable and also that nothing is there of interest.
Make your mind up on this but take in these notes:
1: They seem to white out alot of the Area 19 on maps and satellite photos
2: They claim the roads are now impassable yet they are not, they are maintained.
3: They claim nothing is there....yet why block out photos of it?
4: Its one of the most 'secure' places in the whole of the NTS/Ranges with no visuals from anywhere on public land. except however when you take a flight of the Restricted Area R-4807A which allows you to pass to the West and north of Area 19 affording good views yet slightly distant of it...as Nellis doesnt let you get too close of the boundary considering Area 19 is within the Restricted area of R-4807B not A.
5: It was used during the Atomic tests for underground testing so something is there of 'interest' to the public and to the NTS.
Rainier Mesa and Pahute Mesa are nearby with Pahute Mesa leading into Area 19.
6: The Powerline going underground maybe just a normal thing. Lots of powerlines go underground for the purpose of just so it doesnt get in the way....doesnt mean there has to be a base underneath....but again make your minds up on this.
7: The most important thing to think about:
Its got its own dedicated Restricted Area (R-4807B) which is strictly off limits, yet R-4807A is not.
If its got its own allocated R/Area then its of use to the NTS and thus very important to the NTS just like R-4808N is to them.
So next time, Joerg and all whoever goes on the tour, ask the Officials what is at Area 19.
If they say nothing and its not anything of importance then you can reply with:
"Why has it got its own dedicated allocation of a Restricted Area number and why is its borders clearly marked from R-4808N south and East and ....if its not interesting, why all the restricted zones and secrecy?"
