Further to my last post...as an add-on

The wreckage could of been taken to Hawaii as Pearl Harbour was involved in the recovery.
Being 750m NW of Hawaii it could of been taken to either of these locations before mainland CONUS.

Wake Island
Johnson Island
Kwajalein Atoll Pacific Ballistic Missile Test Ranges

Kwajalein, Wake and Johnson all have nuclear history with Kwajalien being the Nuclear Ballistic Missile Range handled by Vandenberg AFB for MIRV impact testing and other trials....an ideal place to put 3 nuclear ballistic missiles and 2 nuclear torpedos for a secure/safe peek.
