Here is what I posted to the Black Triangles mailing list:

I just returned from the People's Rally. I plan to do a small write up and
place it on my site ( www.lazyGranch.com ). For now, let me say it was fun.
I didn't camp out, but arrived a hair before 6am on 6/6/2000. [I was brain
dead and drove to the back gate first. Hey, it was too early in the morning
for me.] The only law enforcement to be seen was a park ranger, and he was
rather non-provocative in manner. [Then again, everyone was behaving.] The
camo dudes were on the hill toward the right (not the left as they usually
are on my other visits). Hopefully, I got the face of one of the dudes, but
who knows. I took lots of photos. The speech from Tony Hilder was anti-NWO
(New World Order). [Yeah, I hate GATT, NAFTA, and the WTO, but I don't think
Area 51 is involved.] Fortunately, the media ignored the anti-NWO and
interviewed Jeorg, who had a less provocative speech. He just wants the area
to be clearly marked, none of this BS where if you walk past some signs you
are under arrest, fined, and released without any legal recourse.

Jeorg led the willing (and not necessarily able bodied, myself included) up
Hawkeye Hill to see the guard shack at the front gate. The camera man from
the Las Vegas NBC affiliate made the hike as well. [The news anchor wimped
out, but she wasn't dress for the hike anyway.] The studio quality camcorder
cost $40k, so this was a bit ballsy of the guy to make the hike.
Unfortunately, I didn't see the news footage as the cable TV in my motel
room carried the Denver stations.

After the hike, everyone went back to the Little Alien for breakfast,
including the ranger. While in the restaurant, the Air Force decided to let
loose two really strong sonic booms, just so we know who is in charge. One
of the roof tiles fell off the Little Alien due to the shock wave.
