In your previous post you mentioned a road leading N-S just west of the airstrip. That, and the location you are giving, sounds like the Goldfield landing strip, along Hwy. 95, about 23 miles south of Tonopah. The strip runs pretty much N-S.
It is a civilian airfield, and I am not sure if it is used any more.
The road by the TTR strip, which runs NW-SE, is east of the runway.
