My flight was from DC to San Francisco, we were heading west, 30 miles North of Rachel, NV.

The airstrip I saw was close to a road - which seemed to be on the west side of the field, running North/South. I guess it was about due NW from Area 51, which seemed to be off on the horizon.

I wish I kept my cookie crumb tack from my GPS, I could have down loaded the route to my PC and overlaid it on a topo map.

Next time I am out in Vegas - I will try to spend more time at the "Inn" and down a few "pints 'O beer" with my burger.
