I recently made the trip to Rachel, and since I had my GPS - I saved a waypoint.
A few weeks later - I was returning from a trip to Washington DC, and I was tracking the flight path on my GPS. We were about 30 miles north of Rachel - and I used a pair of binoclulars and looked south. I could clearly see the dry lake bed and two parallel runways. To the southwest of the runways - was a complex of buildings.

I am sure this was Area 51.

A little while latter - we flew just North of another runway (airport ?) out in the middle of know where - was this TTR ?

Any comments ?
