BTW, there are two ways to enter the base. From Mojave, you head east on 58. From Palmdale, you head north on 14 (I think) to Rosamond.

Approaching from Mojave will let you see the North Base. If you happen to be getting there a day early (some people can get in on press day), you can watch the small Janet's land at North Base, a bit after oh-dark-thirty. I think I saw one land at 6:30AM or so.
