It's not much more expensive to stay at the Days Inn in Palmdale if you don't like hanging out in Mojave. You can scan plant 42 from that location as well as Edwards, and the town is pretty much American suburbia if you are not the type to hang out in your motel room. [Malls, theaters, etc.]
