The rule about the border is to see two of the markers at any one time. This is not easy on some hill sides. Pointing a laser at the dudes might be considered rude. BTW, in your list of things to bring, don't forget those folding chairs. It is much more fun to sit out in the open rather than in your car or truck. Also required is some sort of hat. BDU's caps are the way to go if you have a military surplus store nearby. Sunscreen is also required. I have a first air kit with a tic puller (more likely to be used to pull catcus spines) and a snake bite kit (as if I would be calm enough to use it after being bitten). I've never seen a snake around the area, but the locals say they are all over the place. Bats are another story, which is why I wear my hat at night.
