I don't know if it is suggested that you camp by the mail box. It is right next to the highway. There is a camp site on Groom Lake Road right before you get to the warning signs. Is that close enough? ;-) You will see more parked closer to the ET highway since most of the sightings is the weapons school doing their thing at night. Coyote Summit is a good spot to view things in general, though you can't see the airspace over the base. An alternative is the gravel at N37.43225 W115.44496, but I don't think I would camp there, but rather just observe. I use a tent, but I don't like stuff crawling on me. Temps are in the 40's at night.
