Thanks for the reply Andre'. I guess the gov is hiding things not only from us but also from themselves as well to insure both parties continue to exist in peace in the future.

It is sad to know though that the great minds of today largely go unnoticed and unproclaimed. I think what I struggle with is how to inspire my children to dream as I once did. Far more distractions for them than I. I do my best, but I think it would only take a little from our leaders to help the future generations become invigorated again with wanting to "choose to go to mars". I think back to the day of the last shuttle tragedy of which I wrote about on this board. My son was very reluctant to go out and watch it fly over our house with my daughter and I, instead choosing to stay in the house and look out the window. But when he first caught glimpse of the re-entry it invigorated him with the same emotions I think many may have had when Sputnik flew over. I know I am the best role model for my children but without a background in science I need someplace to point or someone for them to regard as heros. I guess I can only point to the many figures we had in yester-years. I hope reading about them will be sufficient enough for my children to be inspired to go higher, farther, or faster in whatever avenue they choose for their life.

It sounds like we both agree there is a void today when it comes to visionary leaders.

Maybe there is hope, I am glad to see there are some who still dream...see the links....
