At the end of one of the recent flags, Blackf150 had something on the scanner about a plane getting too close to the action. It may be the case that whatever military planes that happen to be flying will do the escort. A friend of mine got a bit too close to the restricted range from the route 95 side (a much more likely place to screw up since that is a commercial air traffic route). He had two A-10s meet him, one of which came up on 121.5 and instructed him to get out of Dodge. Now I doubt the A-10s came from Groom or Tonopah, but A-10s practice around the ranges near 95, so it is likely they were handy for the "escort."

If there is AA equipment at Groom or Tonopah, it would probably be bunkered. The could use portable AA, but the bases aren't going anywhere, so I think the facilities would be somewhat permanent. There are a few bunkered areas in the real S4 (not Lazars), but it isn't clear what they support. I think they would scramble a jet first since it is more PC to meet the intruder in the air and assess the situation close up than it is to shoot first and investigate the rubble later. The last thing Groom wants is an incident involving civilian aircraft which probably is being tracked via ATC.
