Terraserver updating of photos and a non-crash

Last September I was poking around Lincoln County on Terraserver and found what looked like a possible crash site. Using the scale it appeared to be about 75 feet long--old bomber or something? The coords didn't match anything on my lists, though. It had sort of a fuselage and a wing or two and a broken off tail section -- if you use your imagination. So March of 2003 I actually went there and took a ground photo. It wasn't an airplane, of course. The odds were slim anyway but it was a nice drive in the desert.

Last night I looked up the spot again and the "airplane" was gone! The new photo has much more detail than the old one. Apparently Terraserver has updated some of their photos.

The photo and screenshots can be seen here.

The upshot of all this is that if you have some old screenshots from Terraserver, you might want to check now and again for new photos. The differences from sunlight angle, weather, etc. can be significant.
