If China makes plans to establish a Lunar base, then we'd better make sure that there is joint custody, or they will claim the whole thing and that would be unaccptable. If you want joint custody, then bloody well EARN the right to have it.. Just cause you may or may not have already been there.. SO WHAT.. If you want joint custody of the Base (oh here we go for the Black Project US Stuff) or joint custody of the Moon.. Get up there and EARN IT... The U.S. will have to follow suite and once again get into the heavy launch business once again. A rejuevinated Space Program is WAAAY overdue, but the Chinese may do just that for us. The last thing we are going to want is watch Chinese astronauts coming back to add moon rocks to the Great Wall, or argue with the Chinese about WHY they don't own the Moon if we don't even have the capability to travel there. If the Chinese do travel there and beam back pictures of the Stars and Stripes being taken down from the Sea of Tranquility and being replaced by the Chinese Communist Red Flag, the same one that fluttered over Teinammen Square (Remember That), then the freedom loving peoples of the world will have to admit we lost that one. Oh for Christs sake.. What the hell makes you think they would want to do that... Honestly some people still think that everyone is out to get the US.... As far as China becoming a Superpower, that will be a given seeing how far they have come in the past sixty years, their ability to bypass the need for expensive research (they stole it, or bought it from the west) And how pray tell did the US get their technology. You probably don't really want to know. or are too involved with yourself to see the truth. Information is bought and traded like currency. So what if they stole it from the west. Good on them for having the initiative to do it. You get your info the same way... You employ scientists from other countries, and sometimes they aren't even employed.......... and their single-minded pursuit of a strong Communist State. To ignore their threat, is to not understand their distain for the West, and their belief that the long term gains outweighs the short term disadvantages, or the expected personal sacrifices of their people are only part of their normal national policy. Only the blind would come up with this crap........Look buddy.... Just because they do things differently to you.. doesn't make either way right or wrong... Have you ever lived in a foreign country?.. Just because your way of life is ok for you, doesn't make it ok for someone else. Just because the beliefs of another person may differ from yours... doesn't make either belief right.. so get off your high horse and take life for what it is. No country is perfect in their beliefs and way they do things, so never, ever put yourself or your country above any other. If you do it just shows what sort of person you really are and how much you have been brainwashed.... You talk about communism and how the government tells people how to live and what to do... And the Govt having complete control over it's subjects... Doing whatever they want, whenever they want.... You should really do some reasearch into your own countries 'black ops', covert ops, CIA drug involvment and recent events involving items on public land.... How much freedom do you really have?.... Come on... Your country is one of the dirtiest in underhanded tactics...... In saying that... There are some wonderful people in the US, and every other country on earth.. You might like to make some friends out of the US and see that they are HUMAN, just like you, and even tho their beliefs may be different you have to accept them as they are. Here we go again. Do you NOT GET IT. Unacceptable to whom? Joint custody? We aren't talking about a couple of kids or a bloody car here. If they want to explore things and put this Base or whatever on the moon then good on them. As long as there are no weapons systems etc and it is a peaceful exploration mission then good luck.
