You can also just flip the terraserver over to topo map instead of image to see the name of the crater. Sedan crater is on the NTS tour. It was part of the plowshare project where they were exploring peaceful uses for nuclear bombs. The idea behind Sedan crater was to make a new Panama canal by exploding a series of somewhat shallow nukes. There is a warning sign at the edge of the crater, which I think put the radiation level at 50uR/hr, but I'm not 100% sure of that number. I've been in hotter areas open to the public, such as Kelbaker in the Mojave.
