Hey JETSET

There's a copy of the patent extract on this site, in the Black projects section. The 'Desert Secrets' site (linked from this site) also has a longer version of the patent extract.

To date, I think Steve Douglass is the only one to have published drawings and impressions of the 'Switchblade', and his site is currently being updated for re-release later in the year.

However, several sources have indicated that the 'Switchblade' as depicted in these patents and artists impressions is (apart from the forward sweeping wing!) relatively old technology, and that there is more likely to be something more advanced under development or waiting in the wings.

Although the patent lacks detail, when you look at it closely the aircraft in the patent appears to use an earlier generation LO (i.e. stealth) faceting similar to that of the F-117, rather than the more advanced blended style as used on the B-2/YF-23/F-22/?.

I'd be interested in any one else's opinions...

Magoo
