I see what your descibing. However, I think it's just part of the launch rail. This UCAV of TES-422, Nellis AFB, is using the Hellfire II (obviously from U.S. Army inventory "cheap"). "They didn't even bother to paint 'em". Hellfire was being used because of it's size, weight, and cost (about 7k). As well as being an evaluation weapon. Used on the Apache,the "components" required to detect target, arm, launch, fire and track the weapon is relatively small in size and simple to operate. Therefore, used in this UCAV. That's what the forward slung pod on the Predator is used for.
