I agree with the BVR being the "thing" now, but that manuverablitiy will come in handy when that missile gets close. Additionally, BVR was supposed to be how we fight today, yet we still have restrictive engagement rules - so it might be of no use in a general fight, but a flare up or in the opening minutes that manuveability might make all the difference.
