This is not exactly off topic. Those concerned with national defense were pretty upset about Bush's statement that under his rule we would skip the current generation of weapon systems and go for the next generation. Of course, if you have ever designed anything you would know that things don't work that way. Fortunately, Rumsfeld is now on record saying that is not his plan, so the odds of doing Bush's nonsense are now pretty slim.
