The aircraft they claim to be updating is the NIMROD ASW/ELINT platform but all the mods.are being carried out at BAe's Woodford plant were they were originally built.And thats over 60 miles away from Warton were the Boeing teams are.
I think it could be JSF and/or maybe something later because according to Boeings website they've committed a partnership to BAe for 10 years but that was signed only a couple of years ago.The JSF development was already well underway,how long does it take to design,test and produce for service a completet run of aircraft?On their website they say"around 100 personnell"but there are many more than that on site.
Its like Lockheed sending hundreds of staff to work on a project at Plant42 when the aircraft the project is based on was conceived,designed and supported from Marietta,Ga.
