If you have a mining claim there you can have at least a semi-permanent structure. I have never tried this, but it may be worth a thought...

There are a few spots where according to topo maps 200-300 ft. is all you need. But unless you are familiar with the area I honestly don't think it is a good idea to go anywhere west of the entrance to Roadblock Canyon. The terrain and certain properties of the old road to Freedom Ridge can really play tricks on you.
