For those who prefer GPS coordinates, it looks like you end up near N34 49.36'/W117 46.49'

If you are travelling east on Hwy 58 from Mojave, there is an easy-to-reach hill that has a good view of the main base and the Dryden facility. However, view to North Base is partially obstructed from there.

The top of the hill ("Brown Butte") is approx. N34 59.13'/W118 01.90'. Requires a 2-mile drive on a well-maintained dirt road, and an even shorter, easy hike. Unless you have a Hummer or something similar. In that case you can drive right up to the top. It gets a little rocky towards the end, similar to Brainwash Butte near TTR.
