Since one of the MAJOR missions of the upcoming war with Iraq will be SCUD supression, what better way to train pilots what to look for is to SHOW them what one looks like first. Probably (if you were correct and didn't mistake a Exxon fuel truck for a SCUD laucher as happened during the last Iraq conflict) what you saw was a SCUD launcher either ingressing or egressing (use a dictonary) a training area that allowed pilots the opportunity to see a SCUD launcher from the air. Once you see something like that (an idectic image)decoys and similar vehicles can be easily and quickly dismissed. When you are on a warthog gunrun and your finger is in the button of a 30mm cannon, it's a warm feeling that the vehicle that you just saturated with depleted uranium was really a SCUD and not a busload of innocents.
