Well, let me try to answer some of your questions. I hope someone else can fill in the rest. Yes, I have talked to past and present Area 51 workers. Even here in Vegas you kind of run into them every once in a while. Most seem somewhat amused about the idea of an Area 51 web site. Most of them would actually love to talk about it, but of course they can't and they won't. If you break down near the perimeter the cammos would likely call the Alamo sheriff to assist you. Only in emergencies (or if you cross the line) they would approach you. And yes, the base is still very much operational in its original use as a development and test facility for top secret technology that gives us an advantage over the enemy. The projects and technology has changed, but the players are still the same, and so is the goal. Be prepared for some surprises if and when it comes to war against Iraq....
