I live in the UK. Often I see aircraft very high up, that are too loud and moving to quick to be civilian airliners and can't see them. Only the vapour trails. It often depends on how hazy a day it is and pollution.

I doubt they'd be B-1B's. Firstly because the B-1 is obviously a fairly big aircraft and it doesn't fly too high or too fast at higher altitudes. A B-1 pilot once told me that the highest he'd ever been in the B-1 was 34,000ft, which is lower than most civvie jets cruise at. Secondly, no B-1's are deployed in the UK at the moment, they'd be deployed to RAF Fairford and there isn't anything deployed there at the moment.

My guess would be Dutch F-16's flying high in hazy sky!
