There was a seismic sensor located at the northern end of the Worthingtons that disappeared earlier this year. I haven't actually bothered to drive up to the site, but the antenna is missing, so I imagine the sensor is as well. There used to be an Air Force communications relay station atop a small hill a short distance west from the north end of the Worthingtons, but it was already gone when I came to Rachel in 1993. The only remnant of that facility is a road going to the hilltop, a concrete pad, and a few broken electronic components on the ground just west of the pad on the slope of the hill.
