I was looking at a few locations where the gamma radiation is high, one of which is a mine at the northern end of the Worthingtons. From the topo map (see link), there are two radio facilities present, but they do not show up on the FCC database. It could be that the facilities are no longer used commercially, or they are government/military sites. Both sites have roads leading to them.

Had anyone checked this area out?
