Re: Target Airstrip in RR Valley East of Reveille Peak

I discovered this particular strip about 5 years ago,
after I went through a number of old aircraft charts at the
UCLA map library. It was one of the old outlying target
strips used by Nellis pilots for training during WW2. There
was a similiar one at Groom, and several more around the
TTR area. It's not far off of Hwy 375, north of Queen
City Summit. I was able to see what I thought was the strip
from Hwy 375, but never made the walk over, as I had other
items on my plate at the time, and it didn't look all that
interesting.

I can't recall if any of the other training fields that are still outside
the present day Nellis Range, but I might be wrong. It was some time ago.
