I've looked at the spoon rest a bit and it is an array of yagi antennas run in parallel. Look at each antenna individually. What you see on the left side is the reflector. With a bit more resolution you would see the driven element and the directors on the boom running vertically. Look at the FAS link which has a bit more detail. This would mean the antenna is pointed to the right (i.e not at you), which could be a good thing. ;-) Some HAMs use similar equipment for EME (earth-moon-earth) communications, aka "moon bounce". Here is a photo of some guy's array on the net: Looking at the rest of the page, I think Long Track is gone, though I'm not 100% certain of that.
