Re: GPS I highly reccomend the garmin Emap

I have an Emap as well, but wouldn't suggest buying a GPS today without WAAS.

I noticed Fry's (and Outpost.com) have the Magellan Meridian GPS (basic version) on sale for $99. This unit does mapping, but only has 2 meg of built in memory. However, what is nice is that it takes standard SD (secure digital) memory cards, which can be bought pretty cheaply on the net. [Garmin uses a custom memory card format.] The unit has WAAS as well. While they spec 3 meter accuracy with the WAAS system, some people have found it good to 1 meter.
