Sure, sure. But suppose your aircraft is about F-15 size, sixty feet or so. Think about how large it looks compared to the distance between puffs, that's all. All the "doughnut" shots I've seen before have the puffs several aircraft lengths apart, implying a causal explosion too big for the shield-weight/lift ratio.

Plus, no crack = subsonic speed, and what you can see depends upon how far away it is. It's the old UFO adage, that you can't determine the size, distance, or speed of an object without knowing in advance at least one of those quantities, and we've got none of 'em.
