I think you have hit the nail on the head there Gary.
1,000 people per day, if another top secret base existed then workers would need to be housed, transported in and out etc.
with all the enthusiasts out there someone somewhere would have noticed something.
Plus, Can you really imagine that in year 2002 the workers/wives/families would put up with living in a very cold and remote part of Canada.
