Not sure about snow, but it will be well below freezing at night on Tikaboo at this time of year. They had at least one storm this fall dump some snow in the mountains, but I am not sure if it lasted.

As for 4WD roads, aside from our maps and info sections, you may find our Rachel home page helpful (see attached link). It has a section with directions and photos of several ghost towns and other places of interest around Rachel.
Also, when you get there, ask the folks at the Little A'Le'Inn in Rachel for some good trails. There are lots of them, too many to list here.
