Jose The FB-111 strategic bomber version of the Ardvaark was also called the 'Switchblade' by its crews, although it was never an official name. I think 'Switchblade' is a name that Steve Douglass invented for this particular 'black' aircraft we are hunting. It has also been referred to as 'Bird of Prey'. I saw the PS article - it was well presented, and as an enthusiast, I would seriously like to believe that the aircraft exists! Unfortunately, PS and it's sister magazine, Popular Mechanics don't have a great record when it comes to credibility in A51 research. I think PM claimed the place had actually closed and moved to Utah in a 1996 article! Magoo
