Good brief, and you're right about the syetems commonality! In fact, I think you'll find that the production JSF will stick with many of these 'borrowed' systems.

It is likely that most future aircraft (and UAVs) will be 'bastardized' from other aircraft, as it is far cheaper to use common 'off-the-shelf' parts for non systems, than it is to develop them from scratch. It is already happening with weapons and avionics systems software and hardware, environmental systems, hydraulics pumps and actuators, FBW computers and software, and much more.

The F-117 used a few bits & pieces from other aircraft too, and way back in the 1950's, the U-2 was designed using a basic but slightly lengthened F-104 fuselage.
