Thanks for the link. According to that the usable range of today's TACANs is 100-130 miles at that altitude. Mt. Irish is less than 65 miles from the POI, so that would fit. I can't think of a lot of other places. TTR (which we know to have a VOR beacon) is at 90 degrees, or 10 degrees off. The only other spot that I could think of would be the Reveille Range, at over 100 miles range. But I have never heard of or seen a radio site up there.
