What is (or was in the 1960's) the radius of a typical tacan beacon? There are really not too many places nearby and in that direction that I can think of, other than Mt. Irish. An interesting question: How long has there been a facility on Mt. Irish? Bald Mtn. used to be on public land until the 1980's, and I understand that until the mid 1990's there was only one dome up there. Not sure when that one was put there.
