Going back to this page of Tom's website, I don't have a photo handy of a Tacan, but the ones I've seen look like a water tank on a tower. I can't say I've seen anything like that on Bald Mountain, but maybe they hide the Tacan in the one of the radomes.

the report indicates that Walt was on the 100 degree radial of the Tacan at a location Tom kept secret. But since we know the LZ was the Cheroke mine, you can ask the question "where would a tacan be located such that it's 100 degree radial would be in line with the Cheroke mine?" Well, I already know the answer since I made up the question. The location would be Bald Mountain.
