I'd be more inclined to think the three smaller red outlines represent the escape system hatches, and the single larger red outline forward of them would be a launch bay.....but you could be right.

Funny you should mention the Vigilante. A few weeks back I found a podcast called "The HangerDeck" where the host interviewed a former Vigilante pilot. Great interview on an oft overlooked a/c. The guest has written at least two books on it as well.

As a kid, I remember seeing a Vigilante fly over our house on the way into WPAFB. It was a beautiful aircraft. It was the only one I ever saw until seeing one on display at the Pax River Museum in the 90s when I was working JSF.
