The main reason why that won't happen is reach.

Not even the F-35C with a three stream engine can get the carrier strike group far enough from harm to even be of use in the Pacific.

NGAD is a monster. Naval version of course has constraints such as elevator and deck footprint, but it is still going to be a bit larger than an F-14.
