Warzone's article todays said that some of the US balloons are capable of holding their position against prevailing winds (not sure if solar powered fans or what?) This thing was over Montana two days ago and, based on the Rivet Joint tracks today, is probably still in the Montana/Wyoming area. So, it doesn't appear to be moving very fast considering a 100 MPH jetstream. Although, it's higher than the jetstream isn't it? Anybody know where to find current wind speeds over Montana above FL600?
